Privacy Policy
Effective date: 30 October 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Footlore ("Footlore", "we", "us") handles information in connection with this website and the Footlore publishing application (the "App"). Footlore is operated by an individual content creator based in Türkiye. Contact: contact.footlore@gmail.com.
1. Who the App is for
The App is a private, internal tool. It is used only by the Footlore channel owner to upload and publish Footlore's own videos to Footlore's own accounts on YouTube (@footloretvYT), Instagram (@footlore.tv) and TikTok (@footlore.tv), and to read basic information and performance statistics for those same accounts. The App is not offered to the public, and no other person can sign in to it or connect their account to it.
2. Information the App accesses
When the channel owner authorises the App through the official sign-in flow of each platform, the App may access the following data about the owner's own accounts only:
- Basic account profile: account or channel ID, username or channel name, display name and profile picture, as provided by the platform.
- Upload and publishing permission: permission to upload videos and publish or schedule them on the owner's own account (for example, the YouTube upload scope, Instagram content publishing, and TikTok Content Posting / Direct Post).
- Video metadata: titles, descriptions, captions, hashtags, privacy or scheduling status, publish time, and the IDs and links of videos published by the App.
- Insights: aggregated performance statistics for the owner's own videos and account, such as views, likes, comments count, shares, reach and follower counts, where the platform makes them available.
The App does not access private messages, contacts, payment information, or any data about other users' accounts. It does not collect personal information from visitors to this website, and the website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers.
3. How the information is used
The data above is used only to:
- upload, publish and schedule Footlore's own videos;
- confirm that a video was published correctly and record its link;
- review the performance of Footlore's own content to plan future videos.
The data is not used for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to operating the Footlore channels.
4. Google API Services User Data Policy
Footlore's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
In particular, data received from the YouTube Data API and other Google APIs:
- is used only to provide and improve the user-facing features described in this policy (uploading, publishing and reviewing Footlore's own videos);
- is not transferred to others, except as necessary to provide those features, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets with notice to users;
- is not used or transferred for serving advertisements, including retargeting, personalised or interest-based advertising;
- is not used to determine credit-worthiness or for lending purposes;
- is not read by humans, except where the owner has given affirmative consent (the owner reviewing their own account), where necessary for security purposes or to comply with applicable law, or where the data is aggregated and anonymised for internal operations.
The App also uses YouTube API Services, and its use is subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
5. How tokens and data are stored
- Access and refresh tokens issued by Google, Meta (Instagram) and TikTok are stored encrypted on the owner's private, access-controlled machine. They are never published, committed to code repositories, or included in backups that leave that machine in readable form.
- Tokens are used only to call the official platform APIs on behalf of the owner's own accounts.
- Video metadata and insights are stored in a local database on the same machine.
- Reasonable technical measures are used to protect this data, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
6. Sharing
We do not sell, rent or trade any data. We do not share data with third parties, except with the platforms themselves (Google/YouTube, Meta/Instagram and TikTok) as required to perform the actions the owner requests through their official APIs, or where required by law.
7. Retention and deletion
- Tokens are kept only while the App is connected to an account and are deleted when access is revoked or the App is disconnected.
- Video metadata and insights are kept for as long as they are useful for running the channel, and no longer than 24 months, after which they are deleted or reduced to anonymous totals.
- When access to a platform is revoked, data obtained from that platform is deleted within 30 days.
8. How to revoke access
Access granted to the App can be withdrawn at any time:
- Google / YouTube: visit your Google Account permissions page at myaccount.google.com/permissions and remove access for Footlore.
- Instagram: in the Instagram app or website, go to Settings → Website permissions (Apps and websites) and remove Footlore.
- TikTok: in the TikTok app, go to Settings and privacy → Security → Apps and services permissions (Manage app permissions) and remove Footlore.
9. Data deletion requests
You can ask us to delete any data held about you by emailing contact.footlore@gmail.com with the subject "Data deletion request". We will confirm and complete the deletion within 30 days. See also our Data Deletion Instructions.
10. Children
This website and the App are not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Your rights
Depending on where you live, including under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK) and the EU GDPR, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, or object to its processing. To exercise these rights, contact contact.footlore@gmail.com.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Significant changes will be noted at the top of the page.
